S.C.
Excellent - very well organized and did a great job of
keeping myself well informed at all stages of the case. All staff
provided excellent communication throughout the entire case. Over all I
am satisfied with the end result. Money aside, the freedom of having a
case resolved and done with is just as satisfying as the settlement.
Facts & Figures - Scarring Injuries
There are three main types of scar. These are atrophic or depressed scars, hypertrophic or elevated scars, and keloidal scars, which are actually a type of tumor. The symptoms of atrophic and hypertrophic scarring injuries are redness, healing that takes place only on the site of the injury, and thickness of the scarring tissue. A keloidal scar will extend beyond the original injury and can be tender, itchy, or even painful.
Fact: A healthy person with a well-treated injury is less likely to develop severe scarring.
Fact: It is thought that people with darker skin are more likely to develop a keloidal scar.
